Beneath A Tree

When ever my spirit grows stale within me,

I can find myself again beneath a tree.

For root and branch do not chase their domain,

Yet never want for sun, or wind, or rain.

Leaves in their gentleness do beckon, “Stay!

If the gale does blow, come dance within the fray.

Heed not the storms, for another follows after.

You will surely break if you do not bend to laughter.”

Amongst such strength to abide quite contentedly,

I find inside myself again strength enough, to be.
