Such Tiny Things - Original Poem on Cedar
Such Tiny Things - Original Poem
Such a tiny thing, this seed in my pocket. Once placed within, where I forgot it. Now dropped in the dirt, with barely a sigh, To one day hold birds, and wind, and take up the sky. So it is with all tiny things. Frost on the glass, and dust in the sunbeams, The smell of old tomes, a web caught in the light. Though the beauty be fleeting, That which was lost, now takes flight When the moment is taken, and the joy revealed, Only time is the thief of a wonder unsealed. The sound of the gravel, the touch of the petal, The shape of the stone, the steam in the kettle. Hope in the stillness unbinds its strings All hidden within such tiny things.
